Privacy Policy
As privacy is the core reason for using our service, we recognize the need to carefully balance what information we collect.
Privacy Policy of BrixVPN
At BrixVPN, we are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled in a safe and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we collect when you use our services, how we use and protect that information, and your rights regarding your data. We recommend you read this policy thoroughly to understand our practices. By using BrixVPN, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information Collection and Use
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible to provide our VPN services. When you sign up for BrixVPN, we collect basic information such as;
- Email Address: We use this to manage your account, send updates, and facilitate communication.
- Payment Information: When purchasing a subscription, we may collect your payment details through secure third-party payment processors. BrixVPN itself does not store your payment information, such as credit card numbers or bank details. Payment processors handle transactions, and they are subject to their privacy policies.
When You Visit Our Website
We do not use any 3rd party tracking or analytics services, so your activity on this website stays with us (and your ISP). We use open source Piwik web analytics platform to measure usage on our website, which is hosted on our servers. Piwik is used to analyze in aggregate information about our website visitors. When your web browser loads a page on our site, a small snippet of JavaScript code is executed within your browser which submits information such as your browser user-agent, language, screen resolution, referring website, and a subset of your IP address (first 3 octets).
When You Sign Up
When signing up for our service, we only require a username and password. Providing an email address is optional and is solely for password recovery in case you forget it and to receive periodic service updates. For payments, we utilize third-party payment processors. If you opt for a premium account, we retain the transaction ID of your payment for 30 days strictly for fraud prevention purposes.
When You Use Our Service
When you use BrixVPN, we keep the following data associated with your account:
- Total amount of bytes transferred in a 30 day period. Bandwidth reset date is in your "My Account" section.
- Timestamp of your last activity on the BrixVPN network. This data is utilized to enforce free-tier limitations, prevent abuse, and identify inactive accounts for appropriate action. The following data is NOT stored:
- Historical record of VPN sessions
- Source IP
- Sites you visited
When You Are Actively Connected to a Server
For the duration of your connection the following is stored in server’s memory. This data is immediately discarded when you disconnect:
- OpenVPN/IKEv2 username
- Time of connection
- Amount of data transfered
- Number of parallel connections at any given time to prevent rampant abuse and account sharing.
- A counter is incremented that stores total number of bytes downloaded/uploaded in a 30-day period. Anything that is not mentioned above is not stored.
The following data is stored in a central location:
When You Leave
Should you choose to stop using our service, the only information that will remain is your username, password, and, if provided, your email address. We routinely remove inactive accounts, and you may delete your account at any time via the "My Account" section.
User Data Request
Since we only store the minimal information necessary for users to access our service, any request for user data would yield little to no meaningful information. We do not maintain historical logs of IP address usage, and because IPs are shared among dozens or even hundreds of users at any given time, we are unable to link any specific activity to a particular account.
Changes to Policy
We are dedicated to maintaining stability in our operations, including avoiding relocation to a different jurisdiction. However, in the unlikely event of extraordinary circumstances—such as a hypothetical takeover by giant spiders forcing us to comply with logging requirements under threat—we would promptly notify all users with valid email accounts if we could no longer operate under the current terms. Of course, in such a situation, concerns about logging might pale in comparison to the issue of, well, giant spiders.
